Blue Ridge Center for Chinese Medicine Fall Classes

The Blue Ridge Center for Chinese Medicine is offering several new martial arts classes, a six-part health lecture series and its first Continuing Education course this month. Each of our offerings is designed to educate participants on ideas and methods that lead to better health and vitality.

New Martial Arts classes begin the week of October 22 and include Tai Chi, Bagua and Oigong. Morning and evening classes are available. Nature, Health and the Human Body lecture series with Jason Redinbo begins on Saturday, October 27, from 9:00-12:00. This six-part lecture series will investigate major organ systems of the body, what it means for each system to be healthy, and use the phenomena of nature to convey how these systems function and heal.

We are now approved by the National Certification Board for Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork to offer continuing education credits for Certified Massage Therapists. The two day, 15 CEU course Tuina Investigations Into The Tissue And Energetic Layers Of The Body will investigate and discuss the gross and subtle tissue and energy layers of the body. Includes: evaluation, palpation and tuina techniques to rectify the layers and post session evaluation methods and therapeutic exercise for recommendation. Times are 8am-5pm (Sat.); 8am-4pm (Sun.) Fees for CMT’s are $315.00, discounts available for students currently
enrolled in a massage therapy program.

All programs are at the Blue Ridge Center for Chinese Medicine located at 144 Silver Maple Lane in Pilot, VA. For more information or to register call (540) 651-2682 or email info@brccm.org. Visit us on Facebook for details and updates.
